I just plumbed up the CW-50 yesterday on my new tank build, and it's "guzzling" a tad....is this normal or should I be fiddling with the input? I have the valve wide open right now as any lower will cause the "sucking" sound, or should I dial it way back so it's only draining at about 50% of the bulkhead? My assumption is once it's start growing algae it won't have this issue. Any input on current users would be appreciated.

Also, did you seed it? I wasn't going to.

It takes alitte longer if you dont seed it but it will come and don't start it up for cycling your tank leave it off. Once your cycle is over you will have some nitrates it there for your scrubber.

Would you run it 24/7 after cycle?

Put it on a reverse cycle with your lights if you run your lights 10 hours run your scubber 14 or 8 and 16. Algea has to rest and it takes out more nutrients with the lights out. It just grows with the light and puts off oxygen.
