Hey y’all I continue to hear this noise and I always trip
Out in the middle of the night. Finally I got it on video and usually it’s just one but this time it was back to back. I believe it’s my pistol shrimp but so paranoid about my tank when I hear this

Best bet to possibly find out, set your cell phone on video mode for about 60 mins and drop a little food and walk away - YOU MUST walk away as they know youre there.
