Ok while im sitting here , I will show you a little of my closed loop system. It runs off two Reefflo Hammerhead pumps and two Ocean Motion units.That last shot is of the side of the tank, there are 4-1" bulkheads with barbed fittings pointed downward that connect to the Ocean Motion directly under the tank.

the back of the tank has four 11/2 bulk heads for the intake of the pumps, I wanted to disperse the intakes out and add more than I need to dial down the suction.

Following along. I love that you are putting so much work into the things that will run the tank before it's even wet. Many people rush into getting it setup up as fast as possible and then upgrade. I'm working on planning a 250g-ish future tank and I'm researching closed loops.

Very interested in your closed loop please post more on its configuration. I like the idea of the Dual Gensets, Propane is great but a 20K generator burns thru it quickly.
