i want to run a closed loop on my 300g. i removed the weirs and plan to use the 4 predrilled holes for the closed loop. i will end up drilling the side to install an external overflow but i dont want to drill more holes in the bottom because its pretty thick @ 19mm. sides are 12mm. or am i being too nervous. i heard drilling thick glass is tougher. 4 holes seem like enough to me for a closed loop?

the bottom predrilled holes are 1.75" (44.5mm) so im guessing i can run schedule 80 bulkheads @1". i read flow through 1" is maxed out at like 3500 or something close. does anyone have any thoughts on how to make this work best? should i use just 1 hole as the drain and 3 as returns or just go 2 drains 2 returns? guessing i can have more flow if i use two drains?

im looking at these bulkheads, any experience, opinions or other suggestions?

im not even sure this is sch80 - it says thick wall? idk what that means

I did 2 drains and 2 returns on my old tank. You dont want to starve the pump. You can use duriso long strainers on your intakes and have them off a 90 degree elbows so they are behind the rock work and sit low.
