Hi,

I have had this toadstool since august. When I first put him in, it extended its polyps for a week. Then disaster struck the tank and I had s few coral loses (Dinos followed by cyano when treating with the dirty method). After a month things went back to normal. I waited to post since I thought it was just a matter of time..... 6 months later, with lps, sps and other soft corals doing great, this little guy is still closed. Any ideas?

Ph 8.23

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

It is mad, but still alive. Give the tank at least two weeks without putting your hands into it. Should open up.

That happened to me too, mine was closed for three months until I moved it to a spot with more flow. Then about a week later I had some polyp extension. A couple weeks later it had opened fully.

Thanks, my current fear is that in the first few months I moved it too much (changed its location 3 times. In the past month I fixed it on the current location. I hate moving coral around so I try to avoid it as much as possible. This guy has been the exception because of the absence of polyp expansion.

In its current location it has an mp40 behind it, but indirect flow. Will monitor that.

Thanks
