I’ve got a zoa that’s been closed for a while now. I’ll make adjustments to try and get it to bounce back but does that indicate or could lead to its death? Since it’s not getting nutrients from it being open?

Or can it still thrive while closed?

They need to be open to thrive, how long have you had it in the tank and how long has it been closed? Also is there other corals close to it like a hammer or sps?
I have a frag that's been closed for three weeks now, just finished a revive dip and kept them placed in low light and they started to open the other day. Some zoas can go being shut for longer period of time than others.
