I had the same problem went I put the sand for the first time three weeks ago. I just let it set and yesterday I put my filter sock and clean the glass inside for the sand dust got on it. This morning the tank was crystal clear.

Do you have filter socks or anything in your sump already? Otherwise there is not a whole lot housewise that I would put in my sump to clear up cloudiness. It'll go away on its own :)

I went amd got some filter material. Wrapped it around the power head and put some in the sump. Its clearing up pretty fast now.

you can go to a homebrew store and get some chitosan. Its a shellfish based clarifying agent used in wine and beermaking.
I know it from my other hobby.

Filter socks or filter floss. If it was bagged live sand, it most likely contains a packet of clarifier you can pour in the tank to clear it up quickly.

also, if its a nano, you can just rinse the bed and start it cloudless. this doesn't kill the nitrifying bacteria. we make nanos and pico reefs online that you can flip the bed upside down at any time you want and nothing bad will happen to the tank, an amazing change of pace from the last 20

filter socks or filter pads in the sump then turn the pumps on.

I have a 10 inch whole house filter housing with 3/4 inch fittings (home depot, lowes or amazon). Put a 5 or 10 micron filter in it and run a powerhead to feed through it.
works great for occasionally polishing the water. will clear it up in no time.
It will clear up on its own after a bit.
