Posted on this topic last week as well. Tank is new as of late February but rock was cycled for a year in a rubbermaid. Still all new sand and equipment. Tank was crystal clear for the first week or 2 then got a little cloudy. Seems worse every day for the past 5 days. Gets worse as the day goes on. Everything tests out good, only use API for ammonia, once out of a cycle I never test for it so dont spend big money on a test kit. I have 2 clowns, 2 corals, and a variety of snails and hermits in the 46 gallons. Everything looks healthy as can be.
My trochus snails spawned last night. First time I saw this and I was kind of confused and worried at first. I saw them looking like they were almost standing up but then saw them release the milky cloud into the water and after an hour or so they went back to grazing. I'm assuming for this to happen my tank has to be healthy right? They wouldn't spawn if conditions were poor.
Just continue to ride out the new tank uglies? I did do a 25%WC and changed out some carbon yesterday so hopefully it clears soon.
