How long will it take? I need to put inverts and fish in it. Thank you!Leave it alone it will settle

How is this tank cycled? I would not put any live stock in there at this time. How long will it take? I need to put inverts and fish in it. Thank you!![]()

Were all just trying to help you, if you just put sand in the tank I'd wait before adding live stock. A tank with fresh sand and water from another tank is not cycled. We want to see you succeed. It is cycled.
Thank you! But the water is cycled, the tank is brand new. But the filter from the old tank was with the water too! Were all just trying to help you, if you just put sand in the tank I'd wait before adding live stock. Water doesn't cycle, it's the rock, substrate that holds beneficial bacteria. Then you have to build up the colonization of the bacteria slowly to handle increasing bioloads. Throwing in livestock now will only cause an ammonia spike and possibly harm your livestock. Slow down, this hobby is not a race. Were here to help. We know how exciting this can be but nothing good happens fast in this wonderful hobby.Thank you! But the water is cycled, the tank is brand new. Also, if the ammonia does get high. I’ll move them in my tank with Ick. Water is perfect, just has ich. But, how do I also speed up the dirty water from the sand?Water doesn't cycle, it's the rock, substrate that holds beneficial bacteria. Moving livestock to a tank with ich? Why would you do that??? No, you can not rush this or you'll end up with another tank with ich. I've tried to give you helpful info my friend. If it were me, I'd return the livestock and seriously slow down and heed everyone's advice at this point. Also, if the ammonia does get high. I’ll move them in my tank with Ick. Wait... what?? Why would you do that??? You need to pump the brakes and slow it way down. Remember, the key to success in this hobby is time and patients. Ok I won’t do that too. I just noticed what I said.... I saldy have nowhere though for the livestock except this tank. All pet sores are closed, I got everything today at a convention, 70 miles away. But the convention ended too. So I might be screwed. Idk.Wait... what?? Why would you do that??? You need to pump the brakes and slow it way down. Water can’t cycle. The rocks and sand have to grow bacteria in order to process fish waste that is in the water. If you have another tank or container you could set the fish up in there with an air stone rock and filter and do frequent water changes until your tank is cycled. But this usually takes a few weeks. You can speed it up by adding bacteria out of a bottle. Can I put my fish in cloudy water?? Will it harm them? They all look so depressed in the bags!![]()
Ouch. That will take time.... I do have an extra 10 gal, BUT, I have only RO water. I won’t add sand or gravel, just salt, a heater and a filter. Will that be fine?Water can’t cycle.
