So I did a water change on the 29th right after that the tank started getting cloudy. So the next day I did a 50% water change. I wake up this morning my tank is 100% worse. I’ve attached a photo. Idk what’s going on and have no idea how to fix it. I dose Cal Akl and Mag all separately with reef fusion 1&2 my Seachem.

Please help. And just Incase you can’t tell the cloudy is white in color and my skimmer started going crazy right after the water change as well.

My immediate thought is a bacterial bloom...relatively harmless, just watch o2

What are your parameters?

How old is the tank?

In a newly set-up aquarium, the heterotrophs get to work quicker than the autotrophs, causing the 'cycling bloom' we so often see. Blooms are almost certainly heterotrophic if they are caused by a build up of organic waste in the substrate, which most, if not all, are.

Ph -8.3
NO3 -2
NO2 -0
Akl -10
Cal -420
Mag -1390

Well it looks like it’s a coral bloom. The water is start to smell a little bit is that normal? All parameters are normal.

Do you have refugium with caulerpa? I would also start running some carbon.
