after install rock and sand its been cloudy mean while i put on turbo fritz and dr ammonia how long do y'all think it'll take to cycle and i can add my filter socks so it'll become less cloudy?

Did your sand come with a small plastic bag with tank clarifier in it? Great product when starting out. The product molecules attach themselves to the dust particles and weigh them down allowing them to either sink or get stuck in socks and sponges. A good test kit will let you know when your tank is cycled.

ocean direct from caribsea and yes it did come with some. but its still super cloudy

did you just add rocks and sand today? It normally takes a day, maybe two, to clear up. A cycle usually lasts a few weeks, you need to buy test kits to keep track of the cycle to know when you are done.

If you stick with the hobby for the long run, then you will eventually want to upgrade your test kits. For now, its good enough to guide you through a cycle

def going for the long run upgraded from a 55g freshwater to a 200g rimless saltwater do you recommend any good test kits?
