I ordered a bucket of Red Sea Coral Pro salt when I mixed up my Brute trash can everything turned white in the trash can. I did a water change in the tank now I have a cloud in it. I mixed the salt before adding to trash can and add 4 scoops of salt a day until salinity is 1.025. Dr. Fosters sent me a new bucket and that one is doing the same thing. I have a MJ1200 and Mag 3 in the mixing can. Calcium is the only thing that test out a little high 470 was wondering if that would be the problem?

Is the white on the side of the trash can or in the water. If in the water, is it turning white when you add it to the tank or is it white before you add it?

perfectly normal for some batches of RS salt. i have had many batches like this and when its added to the tank it will clear up in an hour or 2. The white residue will stick to your pumps and heater aswell as the sides of the mixing bowl.

I'm using RO/DI water and the residue is on the sides and bottom of the trash can. The water was crystal clear when I added it to the tank and after a couple of days a cloud forms in the tank.

I'd just switch salts. There are enough good salts out there that don't do that and I don't see anything special about RSCP to have to deal with what you speak of.

I usually use Tropic Marin Pro thought I would try something different and save some money.
