Cloudy Water from Black Foot Snail

System water looks cloudy like bacteria boom. I soak a half cup of carbon turn off flow and find this snail just blowing smoke. Just use some carbon and wait it out?!?

It’s probably just spawning, I’ve seen it before as well in my system.

I also found it rather ‘ alarming’ ! Lol

It looks like it’s spawning. @Magellan recently had a snail do this as well.

Using Purigen in addition to GAC will help remove more organics more quickly.

I figured a spawning event. These black foot are from another saltwater system that spawned and ended up with 100s of baby snails which end up in every pump
Just wondering what others have experienced.

I actually captured this on video a couple of days ago. Snail was surprisingly full of...ummm...that white stuff you see in your tank. Nothing was harmed!
