Hi all,
I have posted this in separate topic from November 2019 but just thought it would be better to start fresh.
So my tank has been going since before Christmas.
Its gone through little cycle as all the live rock and a bit of sand was from my 1year+ nano tank.
I have added new live rocks as well hence the little cycle.
Everything been clear and there was a bit of Cyano and diotom at the beginning but all settled now and parameters seems to be fine apart from Phosphate (separate issue, but I know the cause and working on it slowly now)
The issue is, that for the last 2-3 weeks I have notices some days the water get cloudy when the lights comes on in the morning. Its not something that is happening every day.
Its random 2/3 times a week.
My thoughts were its a bacteria bloom. But would this appear in random days? without consistency?
Also My thoughts were, maybe its the way I am using TMC All-for-Reef supplementation.
I simply add dose to container of RO water which slowly is being added to the main system over period of 4 days.
My corals and fish / shrimps doesn't seems to be affected by this.
Also the water does clear out within couple of hours after the lights comes on.
Any thought? Any ideas?
Could it be that the minerals are on the top and once the Auto top up system pump pump it just transfers water and then once the level of the water goes down in container most of the minerals are being pumped out and high concentration of the minerals causing it? as this would be about right with my Auto replenishment of RO. As i am replenishing every 3/4 days.
Any thoughts of experienced people? Anyone using TMC All-For-Reef has encounter similar issues?
*Just quick note, I never noticed it before when I was dosing 2-3 ml per application, twice a day.
But as you can imagine it was very unpractical.. hence I started adding it to RO water in my Auto top up system.. and this way it is dosing it for me.
