Yesterday I moved from a canister filter to a sump and now my water seems cloudy and less prestine than when I was using the canister filter.

Here is a video.

I've added some floss just inside the chamber where the return pump is in an effort to filter out whatever it is, but it doesn't seem to be doing much.

Any thing to be concerned about or any suggestions on what I can do about it?

Did you remove your biomedia from the canister? Also do you have a filter sock?

Depending what n what all you did, it could just be silt and whatnot.

Did you mess around with your sandbed? Add any fresh rock to the sump?

If it’s just silt, it should clear up in a day or two.

If its just air bubbles, look in your return pump chamber in your sump. If there are a lot of air bubbles in there that might be your cause. That is if it is air bubbles.

I suspect it’s bubbles, I’ve seen another post with very similar looking pictures. There are bubbles in the return chamber around the pump.

Is there a way to deal with them?

I would look at where your water is coming into your return chamber. You may need to adjust your baffles or put a filter pad like i did in mine just before the return pump chamber. That helped with the air bubbles.
