Cloudy Water still, after 2 months

Hello,

I have a two month old 60 gallon cube with a 20 gallon fuge/sump. I have a large skimmer, and dose chemicals daily to keep parameters great. I have a filter sock, and have purigen and chemipure packets in my sump. I also do biweekly water changes. What am I doing wrong that is precluding me from getting clear water?

Do you know your calcium and Alk numbers? It could be precipitation or it could be bacterial bloom.. I would recommend not putting anything in your water until your further along your tank needs several months to stabilize after cycle

This is probably part of your problem. If your tank is only 2mo old there is no need to be dosing anything daily, or even at all. Ditch the packets in your sump also.

I have a 60g cube too, I would be interested to see some pics of your setup if you want to post them here. Do you use a RODI unit for your water? What kind of rock and sand did you use when you set it up?

what type of water purification system do you have?

are your filter socks really dirty when they need to be changed?

does the tank water smelly funky?

how big are your water changes?

does the tank get direct sunlight?

We could do with a full list of your tanks parameters and also a picture would be helpful.

If the tank is only 2 months old you probably don’t need to add anything. You only add things after testing to see if it’s needed.

I agree with questioning what you're dosing on a 2 month old tank. Also, do you have sand that is getting kicked up with too much flow? Could they be micro-bubbles from the sump?
