Cloudy Water Still.......uggg

Hey all,

Set up my new tank with Arag-Alive sand. With my first tank the water cleared up within a day. With my new set up after 3 days my water is still really cloudy. I am running 225 micron felt filter socks to catch the silt. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Good advice here. Also you can try running a bit of carbon and skim on the wet side

I would up on a filter to help catch most of it. But give it some time, it will clear up. Took one of my tanks 7 days before I could even see a break in it haha

Agree. don't add anything. It will take about a week to clear up.

I actually just did this, but I have a stocked biocube. The new mp 10 has been blowing the sand away from one end of the tank so I bought some larger grain dry sand and just dumped a bunch in there like an idiot. Now my tank is very cloudy and I'm worried I might have just nuked everything. I rushed out and bought some imagitarium seawater in a box and its heating to temp now, Is there any chance this will clear or is everything toast?

I cleaned up my filter socks, and replaced them both twice during the day....all cleared up now
