Did you add any supplements directly to the tank? Looks like a precipitant of some sort.....what is your set up? How long has the tank been up & running?

No additives to the tank. Prolly a month in this tank, everything but sand. It was in a smaller tank. The only thing new was a week ago I added new LR. I have now taken the pumps off rotation and moved the return nozzles and added more water. So lets hope that this all will help.

If the tank is fairly new, im guessing it could be some sort of algae or bacterial bloom. I had this happen to me 2 months after my tank had cycled... If it is, it will most likely go away in a day or two.

Its been getting bad like this prolly maybe the last week after the new LR. So there is a possiblility its a cycle.

You need to test your water to see whats going on. Also you might run some carbon to help clear water. Limited your feeding and continue with your water changes.

Well this morning I woke up and looked bad. But then I looked and some were air bubbles lol. So filled it up more. Went to school and run errands will check when I get home and then go from there. Its crazy looking at my other tank and its crystal clear. Same rock and partially same water, diff filtration.

Could be a bacterial bloom.I had a few when my tank was new. They go away after a few days to a week- if it is a bloom.

Well one pump is blowing air bubbles, dunno why. So turned it off and more air bubbles. It seems like there are less particles that are floating. Will see tomorrow. Gonna put the skimmer back on (even though I hate the oceanic nano skimmer but that's a whole other topic lol) and see what I also can get out.

Have you tried taking your pump apart and cleaning it? Maybe something in the pump is catching and somehow creating bubbles... Crazy thought but might be a possibility. How does the water flow from the chamber next to the return chamber?

Today I took both pumps apart and still had bubbles. So I put everything back together, added two phos pads on each side, then also put one pump on a timer. Weird enough it reduced the bubbles. Still their but much better than before. I'm gonna eventually replace them with some thing else.

Are the pumps getting enough water? Might need to add a little water so the pumps can't suck air.
