How long has your tank been running? It's more than likely a bacteria bloom, especially if it's a new set up. It will pass with time, but a UV will clear up up within a few days.

If it is bacteria, a skimmer can deal with much of it, that is assuming you have a skimmer that is of higher capacity than your tank.

If you have a calcium reactor, check your pH and media.
If your tank is new, its probably bacteria bloom, do 20% change 2 following day. And it will disappear

my tank has been running for about 5 months now, will add a protein skimmer

If your tank is 5 months old with no protein skimmer, your water change amount should be 20-25% per week, if not then alot of stuffs wouldnt be remove cause bacteria bloom

i have a corallife super skimmer, but due to the issues of having too much micro bubble i stopped using it, is there anyway i can stop the microbubbles? I looked at other websites and have added more filter pad but the bubble diffuser just overflows....

Sorry i do not know how to fix the bubbles problem. Spend lil money on skimmer, it worth investment for your tank
