Cloudy water.

My DT had beautiful clear water until two days ago when it suddenly became cloudy. I can see small white particles like sand swirling around in the tank. What could have caused this and how can I make the water clear again.

Most likely one of your inhabitants had a fun time playing in the sand.. Make sure there is plenty of flow and adequate mechanical filtration (sponges) to remove the sand that doesn't settle back down.

Thought abt this and realized I had moved the circle pump down in the water column. Going to move it back up.

If water is milky it also can be bacterial bloom which will also settle after few days.
