Hi all,
I set up this saltwater tank which has SG at 1.023 3 days ago. However the water has never cleared up even once and stayed relatively the same cloudiness please help.

You have a filter sock going in your sump?

With a new tank like this don't worry, when you put a bunch of liverock in there and get it cycled in the next 2 months your water will be clear.

Yes I do have a filter sock! I'm not sure if it's the u dissolved salt or maybe a bacteria bloom Iv hear that it may be that.

I think it might be settlement from your sand or yes the effect of the salt.
Looking at the bubbles on the back this tank is just setup and has nothing to it.
If you already dosed bacteria it might be waste as there ain't any liverock that can be cycled.

What do u suggest I do? Live rock should I get bio balls into my S ump? Thank you!

Oh NO!!
No bioballs.
Sump can contain also some LR, skimmer maybe a reactor and return pump.
Do you have a picture of your sump?

Your tank need LR or dry LR thatvyiu cute first for a week or so.

You could consider putting one 8x8 Marinepure plate in your sump. I also use them in my qt tanks. I like'em. I've used them on 3 new tank setups. They helped giving the bacteria more surface area to multiply their numbers, quicker. Plus, in the qt tanks, you can pull them out and bleach them between uses. Amazing how water flows through them. Those guys at BRS did a video on using these.

^^^^ That's a option too ^^^^^

I have my Bac-vibe that is stocked with a carbon pellet and keeps my tank flawless.

Pretty clean sump.
All looks good to me.
Now this is what you need to do for your weekend, find some LR about 75lb for your tank, I prefer dry LR as you have less chances for hitchhikers.
Cure that in a trash can with saltwater and a large enough pump to have the water go everywhere for at least a week or longer.
After the week rinse that rock by shaking it good in that same water.
When all rock are rinsed you can aquascape your tank in which you like the look the best.
Mean while when the rock is curing you can test your water for Ammonia, Nitrite, PH and keep a eye out on temperature.
That is if you have some decent test kits.
Test kits to have when doing saltwater are,
Ammonia, in most cases only in the beginning for the cycling process
Nitrite, same as above.
PH, test or constant monitor.
Temperature, constant.
Phosphate, after the cycling.
Nitrate, after the cycling.
ALK, when thinking about corals.
CAL, when thinking about corals.
MAG, when thinking about corals.

It looks like your sand bed is too fine for your tank. I would either change your sand bed for one with a bigger grain size or lower your flow.

I put this on the top of my Fiji Pink sand and mixed it in just a bit when I setup my dt. I too was concerned that the small/fine grain would blow around and cloud the water. Larger grain size with bits of shells, etc: CaribSea Aquatics Arag-Alive Crushed Coral, 10-Pound bag.
