Came home to this, tank was fine when i left this morning

How old is the tank and what are your parameters? Cloudy water is usually a bacterial bloom from a sudden source of nutrients. Are all fish accounted for? Are you using rodi water?

Tank is 1 year and 8 months old, fish, shrimp, and crabs all good. Corals are irritated but i did a 4 gallon W/C and they are looking better already. No new habits. Still feed and do WC on a normal cycle

Agree with @Crabs Mcjones

This is likely the result of a bacterial bloom. You will want to get some water mixing and prepare for large WCs. Also as mentioned, parameters will aid in figuring out what may be the cause.

I use hinkley purified water for top offs and I use the same salt water from the lfs that i have for about 1 year now

Maybe your LFS can do the nitrite and ammonia test for you?

Your nitrates are really high. I would suggest water changes. A series of small ones. Dont do alot of big ones

Bacterial blooms dont always indicate things are doing bad. If the tank has been running for over a year and nothing has changed, a nutrient fueled the bloom. Lots of times fish and corals are ok.

I had a recent one with the sudden addition of three fish at once, and without doing any water changes, just placed my cheap 9w uv clarifier in the tank. Two days later the water was as clear as I've ever seen. My tank is 80% sps and they had polyps out, like it was food in the water column.

Actually that's not the case. The Salifert Nitrate kit (and I learned this recently after using this kit for the first time) has you look from the top down to match the color or read from the side (as in the photo) and divide by 10. So what looks like 100ppm nitrates is actually 10.

IMO It’s either a bacterial bloom or something has died in your tank.. bacterial bloom water changes won’t help and my fuel it, if something is dead big water changes are needed. A cheap UV system will clear bacterial cloudiness quickly.. I have the green machine and use it in tank when needed works great.
