Cloudy water

So I went to pick up some new fish today and came back to cloudy water. This tank has been running probably a month and half. Just added fish for the first time a week ago and went and got some more this weekend. Everything has been perfect as far as all parameters even after adding fish. I have live sand and live rock and base rock that was in from the start. I have the ugly stage going on right now. I put some of the water in a clear glass and it looks clear no color and nothing settles to bottom. I have turn my lights out to maybe help with the diatoms but don’t no why I have the cloudy water. So I’m thinking bacteria or algae bloom. Any help or advice would help or how to fig out which one it is. And what to do cause I just added more fish.

Your tank is still pretty new so bacterial blooms will occur. Be patient, the bacteria will stablize. Don't do anything drastic.

Would a water change help. Does the lights need to be on.
