This is the tank from the side. If dinos how do I get rid of them? There is a type of Dino’s that floats in the water column and burrows into the sand at night. This is what I’m thinking you have.

I was under the impression that dinos disappear at night and then come out when the lights ramp upThere is a type of Dino’s that floats in the water column and burrows into the sand at night. This is what I’m thinking you have.
That is my understanding too but I know there are many different variations so it’s possible. I’m trying to think of why it would be so cyclic. Bacteria blooms usually appear and then pass. Not on a rhythm. Is there anything you can think of that happens around these times that would contribute to this?I was under the impression that dinos disappear at night and then come out when the lights ramp up
Like I had said, was leaning towards it being the goby but he’s out doing his thing during the day as well. It’s really got me scratching my head. I’m now leaning towards adding dr Tim’s re fresh or ATM outbreak. Water is really bugging meThat is my understanding too but I know there are many different variations so it’s possible. Ok, so I took your advice and purchased the 24w green killing machine and it worked a dream. I saw on another thread on here someone asking about parameters after it was removed so tested my water and my nitrites are sitting at 1 on a salifert test kit. Will this come back down? The nitrite and nitrate were reading zero while the tank was cloudyYou can try something small and relatively inexpensive like the 24W Green Killing Machine. Your tank is only 53 gallons? so that should keep up with it. As far as adding more bacteria, I personally would say no. The bacteria is what is making the water cloudy....the tank just needs time to balance out. That being said, some say that adding good bacteria will consume the "bad" bacteria which can contribute to cloudy water.
Yeah, it will come back down.....your tank is still balancing out. Glad the UV workedOk, so I took your advice and purchased the 24w green killing machine and it worked a dream. Without reading back through, the tank was initially cycled, correct?Yeah, added ATM colony initially. Had low ammonia and really high nitrites. Nitrites bottomed out at zero while the tank was cloudy and nitrates read really low. Just tested nitrites this morning and read it at 1. Hopefully it does level out or I may need to add more bottled bacteriaYeah, it will come back down.....your tank is still balancing out. If you do, make sure you turn off the UV otherwise it will be an endless cycle of killing the bacteria you are dumping in lol. The bacterial will grow and multiply on the rock.......it will be fine.Yeah, added ATM colony initially. Had low ammonia and really high nitrites.
