I have aome clove polyps that started out great, the we wide open and starting to spread, recently tho the heads seem to be dying off, the confusing part is that it’s still spreading, I hope someone can clear this up for me, the rest of my corals are doing great.

Going to need a bit more info.
What are your current water parameters, tank inhabitants, and age of the system to be able to make an educated guess.

10 gallon about 6-7 months old ( honestly not sure)
Ammonia 0-.25
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0- 1 or 2
I have 1 clown, 1 coral banded shrimp, 2 blue legged hermits and 3 nitrite snails.
For coral I have green hairy mushroom , Kenya tree, zoas and clove .
I do 1L water change each night instead of a big one weekly

Couple of things stand out to me.
.25 Ammonia indicates things aren't 100% stable. Not terrible, but not necessarily good either.
Coral Banded shrimp are kind of a conundrum. They can be 100% fine in some tanks, and an outright problem in others.
Being a small tank, temperature swings can happen quickly. Keeping things as stable as possible is the key to long term success.
Things like clove polyps also like a bit of Nitrate. Most of the softies you have do as well. You might try and skipping a few water changes and see if you can bring the Nitrates up just a bit. Think the 5-10ppm range. I think you see a noticeable improvement in you overall coral health.

Ya I know the ammonia wasn’t great but I didn’t realize the low nitrates would hurt , I’ll give that try, thanks for the advice

Back about a year ago i had some glove polyps and a coral banded shrimp. The polyps seemed to do fine, but i would find the stalks all over the tank and my urchin wearing them. I just assumed the urchin was tearing the polyps off, but you saying the coral banded shrimp could have been the culprit? Eventually the polyps were destroyed and i made a poor fish decision and the shrimp was gone as well. I agree with increasing nitrate, seemed to get my hairy mushrooms growing much better.
