Has anyone ever had their clove polyps waste away? I started a colony of firework looking clove polyps in my sand bed next to the back wall with hopes that they would climb the wall and to my excitement they did. However, I then fragged/ripped the coral plug off the bottom once they were well established to give to a friend. Now they are growing well and spreading over the back wall, however, they are also dying from behind. So far they have been able to outgrow the death. Curious if anyone has seen something similar or if there are any know cures to something like this. I have not tried cutting off the back yet, because I feel like this is when it started. For now I am just watching them grow and die at a similar pace. They have made it almost to the waterline now. Thank you in advance for any info! I will also say I have a full mixed reef and this is the only issue I am having. I have acros throwing out branches and this silly clove won't stop dying!
