Clove polyps not fully opening?

Hey guys I have had this clove polyp for close to 2 months now and I was wondering why the polyps never seem to open all the way. I was thinking good have something to do with the flow, but wanted to hear what you guys think too.

First thing is to get it away from your main structure. Trust me. Second please list current parameters and lighting being used.

Those test kits are not used for saltwater I don't think
Either way I wouldn't trust them.

Are there any fish in the tank? How are you making nutrients available?

Use a test kit- I have no use for strips which works in both fresh and saltwater .
Main requirement is Moderate light and medium water flow and low nitrate (<10)
