I’ve had my clove polyps for about 2 months. First month in QT and last month in my DT. They closed up a few days ago and I noticed a single aptasia in the middle of the bunch. I pulled them out, glued over the aptasia and put them back but it’s been 2 days now and they haven’t opened back up.

is there anything else I can do to help them open back up? They’ve been happy in that spot for a month.

When I got mine, one well known site said if they don’t open within 12 hours move them, I tried that a couple of times, didn’t help, they took over a week to open, I would say leave them alone and they will open in time, especially if they were happy in that spot.

Agree with above. They are resilient, but when disturbed or ticked off they can close up for a while. Give them time.

If their mat/base starts to fade and/or algae stays growing on it, then you can worry.
