I have a long finned Ocellaris in my 20 gal and my grandpa came back from our LFS with the water I asked for but also bought me a new clown! I don’t think they’re compatible however, but he refuses to take it back, and said to flush it if not, but I refuse to do that. Please someone help me figure this out I don’t want any fish to die

Tomato clowns are nasty (they'll even try to bite your hand when entered in the tank in time). My suggestion, Place it in an acclimation box for a couple of weeks.( no waste of money for the box as you will likely use it several times in the future). Release the tomato and see how they do.
IF you see any fin nipping, set up your cell phone to video mode for about an hour and walk away.
Come back and review the video and you will know what is going on in your absence.
As a last resort, if the tomato becomes an aggressor, you can place it in the sump

How big is your tank? If there isn’t adequate room, and especially if they’re the only two fish in the tank, there will likely be aggression (the long fin will lose). I would take it back to the LFS (you could put in a Tupperware with some holes poked in it inside your tank if you can’t make it there today). Don’t flush it and don’t let them fight it out, if your tank isn’t large enough (like 100+ gallons), do the responsible thing and take it back.

Check out my display pic. I have a cinnamon, related to a tomato but known to be more aggro, paired with an occy.

As far as I can tell, if it's just two individuals they act the same as if the same species. Which is pretty cool. But if you do want to be sure, then yeah find some way to return the tomato.

It’s only 20 gallons and aside from a goby and a blenny it’s the only fish. i can’t personally take it back because I broke my legs in December as well as a bunch of other stuff so I can’t walk there and don’t have a car anymore to drive there. My grandpa doesn’t care enough to take it back so maybe I can find someone in here that’ll take it

I recommend you put the clownfish in the sump or a breeder net. Until you find it a new home
Makes no sense to flush a live fish

I’d never flush a live fish. I just wanted to know if anyone could confirm that it was a tomato and see if anyone had success stories with the two if so. I figured not but thought it was worth asking. I’ll keep it floating in the bag and see if I can find a friend that’s be willing to take it back hopefully tomorrow. The fish store is only open four hours a day

Most likely everyone who responds will have limited experience. Nature of our hobby; especially if the experience is negative. No one repeats a bad experience.
I tried two species of clowns once in a 40 gallon tank. Cinnamon clowns (similar to tomato clowns) took out my smallest Ocellaris. Largest Ocellaris then kicked butt on the cinnamon clowns. There was an unsteady detente for a period of time. I re-homed the cinnamon clowns to prevent more losses.
Don't flush the fish. Trap or contain the new clown in some way and put out an offer on Craigslist or whatever you have in your area. Put it out for half price or free. Someone should take it quick.

20g is going to be a tight space for 4 fish with one being aggressive.

Honestly then don't fret too much. It happened, and yes you can take some drastic measure, but it'll probably be a lot less stressful, especially when it's hard to do anything - you going outside yourself or ending up annoying your grandpa.

Don’t keep it in the bag overnight, it’ll run out of oxygen. Put it a Tupperware (or something similar) with some holes in it. Even if you open the bag and leave it floating in the tank, ammonia is going to start building in the water and it can kill the fish (plus for a larger fish like a tomato clown, even with the bag open it could still asphyxiate).

Tell Grandpa to buy you a GIFT CARD from the LFS next time if he wants to surprise you.... or a girl who jumps out of your cake on your birthday
