Is it ok to put an ocellarius clown with a tomato clown? Will they bond or will they kill each other?

As adults as long as they are of different sizes your ok. That said I would buy a breeders box and put one in it to let them get use to each other slowly if they aren't juveniles.
Even two juveniles will have some clashes when one decides they want to be dominate so a breeders box may still be needed

I would not recommend mixing species of clowns. There is an increased chance that the tomato clown will be aggressive to the occellaris.

There is an added level of aggression if there is only one anemone.

I'm curious why you feel there would be added aggression because of mixing species. Clownfish game has gone to hybrids. This pairing has some interesting genealogical aspects. Personally I have Maroons paired with several different species of clowns including Ocellaris and have them breeding. Of all my breeders I'm at about 50% that are in the hydrid scene with mixed species parents.

There is an added level of aggression if there is only one anemone.

Once I've had clowns to a point of tolerating each other in the same tank I have often used an anemone to help increase the interaction of the hopeful pairing with great success

As I type this I'm actually looking at my Harem tank full of Photons, Lightnings, Percula's and Clarkii's all doing their thing and living a clownfish life happily!

Thanks for your replies. I think I'll play it safe and just get another occellaris. My tank is pretty peaceful and I'd like to keep it that way. I just thought it would be cool to have the two different clowns mate up. But maybe not.
