We have heard that almost never do clowns successfully lay eggs and have babies. Our clowns have been acting very protective over a hidden spot behind our torch coral and now see hundreds of tiny orange eggs, or so we think. Anybody tell me of there is any chance of them hatching or had any experience similar or what to expect. Here is a video. Thanks

They'll hatch but any surviving long in the the DT is highly unlikely. Remove and hatch the eggs in a separate tank and the fry are fairly easy to raise. Plenty of threads in the breeding forum.

Mine lay and hatch in the display. They can be caught and raised as I have done it several times. It can be done, but it is work. They will not survive in the display tank as the requirements will overwhelm it.

Clowns are perhaps the most common species that lay eggs in our tanks. Once they start, they usually keep doing this on a regular basis, in the same spot.
