Clown Eggs

My clowns laid eggs on the back wall. Will these end up hatching and if so will they all just become lunch?

No they won’t hatch. Probably be picked of by the clean up crew or other tank mates. Happy clowns!

If they manage to hatch, they’ll be food. Most of the time my clowns end up eating them all before they have a chance to hatch.

The first couple of batches do not make it, But now that you know you have a fertile pair, place a clay flowerpot in that area. If you can get them to lay eggs in there, you can transfer the pot and eggs to a separate tank to increase the chance of successful hatch

Agree with @vetteguy53081 You can raise fry if your willing to dedicate some time and resources. Several resources available if you want to go that route. Otherwise these hatch and become food for other tank inhabitants

Ive had a couple of good hatchings but did not have the time to follow thru

Years ago I raised them. They love those red clay flower pots. You can break them up and lay a piece in their favorite hangout spot and they take right to them.

Then just take them out and hatch them in a breeder setup. But that is a whole different rabbit hole.

Totally agree. Those clay pots seem like nest magnets.
