Clown fish behavior

Is this normal behavior - I introduced orange storm to the tank few days ago and the other clown kept chasing and nipping. I now have separated them due to the orange storm laying at surface level breathing rapidly and now reintroduced them together. They have been together for little over an hour and have not rested and still chasing and nipping the orange storm. Should I keep an eye on them or keep them separated. Thank you

I would keep an eye on them if it starts getting too bad further action will be needed. They appear to be sameish size so it may just be pecking order but I would definitely watch so you don't have a casualty. They are in the family of damsels after all

Not abnormal to say the least as clowns can be territorial and as mentioned to a couple of others, there is what is known as clown hierarchy in which the aggressor is often the female. Female clownfish are much more dominant than the males and become greedy and try to eat most of the food that gets into the tank (which is one reason the males don't grow as large). They aggressively protect their home whether its an anemone, a nesting site, a clay pot or the entire fish tank. In time, they may get aggressive and attack the male. Often if you separate the female for a week or two into an acclimation box or sump, there may be a change in her behavior

I cant see the video, but how long have you had the storm? When I introduced a baby maroon to my female I had to keep him in an acclimation box for a good 3 weeks. You should watch for your other clown to not be attacking the box and be curious. They will fight but this should help keep it to chasing and stuff

I think they should be okay. All fish have different personalities. But I wouldn't add anymore clownfish just the two. Here is a picture of my two orange storms as well
