So I have been in bed dying all day from food poisoning. It's 10:30 pm and I decided to check on the fish. My two clowns were running from side to side in the back like they normally do. I turn on the light and they just both drop to the bottom and are now very sluggish.

Should I be worried are they just shocked from the light?

Could be that they were electrocuted, did they pick back up shortly after? If so I'm leaning toward maritimer's hypothesis.

Both good possibilities. However the most simple is usually the right answer..... so I'm going with surprised by the light for now with the voltage leaking into the tank from the light being second.

Sorry guys for the wait. I was hospitalized the morning after posting this. But the clown fish are doing excellent. I believe they got spooked by the light but they are swimming around and eating perfectly.

Thanks for the concern and the help!
