Hello, I’m new here. Needed help. Just noticed this weird white puffy spot under belly of saddleback clown. Any ideas on what it is?

I read to add vitamins to the food. He’s been eating brine shrimp. I do have those floating pellets for clowns. They have more nutrition than shrimp?

Could be constipation. Feed it some boiled peas. Remove the skin. And if that doesn't get things "moving" consider adding some "plain USP Epsom Salts" to the tank water. One tablespoon per 5 gallons. Won't hurt the tank, it may raise the mag levels just a wee bit.

Will try peas tonight thanks a bunch!

It may be my imagination from having to fight them many years ago and still creeped out, but to the left/rear it almost looks like a beady little eye. Sure this can't be a well attached cirolanid isopod?

I hope not. I’ll watch for movement and or more.

Well, if it was, there would be another eye on the other side :) They also tend to release and hide once the lights are on, although I had one large one with a taste of my cinnamon clown that seemed happy to stay put until it met my tweezers. Good luck either way!! Seeing that little black dot made my skin crawl!

And welcome to R2R !!!

Thank you. I’m new to this and appreciate the quick responses. Just trying to be responsible.

Well. Fed peas and he loved them. Noticed he had a turd coming out when I fed. Looked small but voluminous. Maybe it clears up after a few stools. He’s very hungry. Even tried eating our tiniest
