Help! I just recently invested in two young occellaris clowns. I have a rose bubble tip nem and a green tip nem. One of the clown fish is missing in action. We even moved out aquascaping around and reconfigured looking for the little guy "Jackson" is his name. GONE ! Does anyone think think either of the nem'S would have eaten him? How am does a fish just disappear?

If your tank has a overflow and a sump area check in those spots well. You would be surprised how many times I have rescued a fish from those two areas over the years.

If the clown was health I can't see a bubble tip doing it in. The slim coat would protect the clown from an anemone with a "mild" sting.

Is the tank covered.....have you looked to see if it might have gone carpet surfing?

he was very healthy in appearance, and he was not being hosted by the anemones. I searched the drain and carpet, no Jackson. :(

I did look but it's a corner 92. I don't think he's in there.

How about an emerald crab?

Mine kept finding his way into the overflow and in the sump. mine is split so sometimes he would be in the fuge, and two other times he was in the filter sock. I found him quick enough the first time in the sock, cant say as much for the second time. RIP chippy

Poor chippy.

I still have the other Jackson of the Jackson twins I'm trying to get my anemone to host. Let's hope he makes it.

Same thing happened to me. I bought 2 ocellaris and one died. The cleanup crew made "quick work" of him. The other one is fine and eating aggressively. Had nothing to do w/the BTA's in the tank. Prob caught pneumonia during shipping :(
