clown fish help asap

I'd do another waterchange. With the fish and corals acting stressed, there's something in the water that's bothering them. A waterchange should help dilute whatever that is.

I'd look into getting your own ammonia and nitrate test kits at the least. They're pretty cheap and easy to use, also very important things to know when a tank is less than a year old. How are you measuring salinity?

+1^ double check salinity as well zoas r quite sensitive to salinity issues. Id also toss in a bag of carbon just to b safe.

....... I'm Matt n i have a reef obsession.

if you didnt rinse your crushed coral the fine particles might be irritating there gills. what are you running for a protein skimmer what are you running as far as wavemakers/powerheads.

i have a marineland powerhead 550 gph. which i turned off. protien skimmer which hasnt been on in a couple days i just got it. its hard to ajust and cause to many micro bubbles in the tank. its an odyssea ps 75

i would get your skimmer running asap it might help pull some of the nastys out also get your powerhead running to help with the water flow and allow your skimmer to skim more of the crude out

are you putting any additives in the water like a stress coat or anything? your skimmer adds alot of oxygen to the water as well as cleaning out the unwanted crud. keep doing weekly water changes as well.
some additives you put in your water will make your skimmer go crazy making it hard to adjust. are you using rodi water or conditioned tap water

im using rodi water. i just stuck it in a bucket full of salter mix. an the skimmer still overflows. not really using in additives. just typical part 1 and 2 for ph alk and cal. some phyto. i lost the male clown. female swims with her head up towards the lights.
