I saw these 2 spots on my clown today. Any idea what it could be? It is on only 1 of the 2 clowns in the tank and only on 2 of its fins. Sorry for the bad cell phone pic but it is all I currently have.

Could be a bacterial infection. If so Or it could be lymphocystis a viral infection of which there is no cure.
It's not life threatening and the fish basically lives with it. Just keep pristine water conditions and keep the fish well nourished:)

Contagious to other fish?

Yes, the white nodules on the fish burst and send the virus into the water. Many fish have Lympho so it's a disease I wouldn't worry too much about. Symptoms will flare up whenever a fish is stressed or water quality has diminished, but the fish will go back to being asymptomatic once the underlying cause has been fixed.
