Noticed these spots a few days ago on our new clown-fish. He is acting normal, eating, swimming. I noticed a white blotch on each side almost in the exact same place,

so I assume it was part of his coloring. Today I got out the magnifying glass and took a closer look. Is this something I should keep an eye on or does someone know what it is? any help would be great.

Does look concerning! It looks like brooklynella but he would be acting much worse then you say. Could be bacterial. Either way need to treat it. If it is Brook he will go degrade fast. Can ask the experts. Calling #reefsquad

Looks like Brook to me. Can you QT?

that was my thought but it is acting normal with the exception of those marks. it is swimming all over the tank, I feed him twice today and both times he bolted to the food. I could put him in a 5 gallon bucket with a heater and powerhead but I dont have a spare thank

That will work in a pinch. Watch that ammonia!

Act quick and setup would be fine. Need to start treatment ASAP. When I my got Brook fish looked fine at night swimming and eating and where dead in morning.

well woke up this morning placed the clown in quarantine last night he is still alive, swimming and eating. I will be getting some medication today. keeping an eye on the other two fish I have, but I have yet to see anything on them.

Well that is good. With Brook, if you look closely it looks like the slime coat is sloughing off almost like a mucus coming off. this is what also ill cause secondary infections. Keep an eye out for that. I wish you luck
