Clown Fish Not Well

Ok thanks all. Probs should have mentioned he’s still eating like a trooper which is promising. I’ll give a go at moving him to the other anemone/breeder box first to limit stress.
If not - out he comes. Just wanna run some tests in the QT before I use it.

Yeah, meaning they were both likely male when OP got them… but thats not the main issue in the thread its treating OP’s sick clown
Males do not usually fight with males - if it happened that the OP got 2 females that could be a problem. If 2 males were picked, one will become a female. However, like cichlids clowns pair off and sometimes pairs just do not get along.

If they are the same size males can and usually fight to decide who will become female, Ive seen it before which is why people say get two with a clear size difference :)

Successfully moved to the other anemone. I’ve never had a clownfish take to one in the past but these two are straight in. Even when nudged to a different one! Lucky I guess. Thanks

again for the help. Hoping the slow recovery begins

Behaviourally totally fine… just looks a mess. Had to nudge him off a torch tho, no loyalty

to his new anemone home :)

Just wanted to say thanks all. Not only did he recover pretty swiftly but also seems to be getting on much better with his mate :)
