Prior owner had this clown fish pair for 6 months and I have had now for little over a month with no issues now one is seemingly beating up the other and can see fin damage. I assume I can't do much but try and separate them??

I have video but says it's too large not sure how to go about posting.

Good luck for both their relationshop to survive. I bought a picasso pair and one day later-- My girlie had killed the boy with one bite!? My girl is still alive, and she has had her 3rd boyfriend now! (2nd died from a sickness)

If you have 2 tanks, move the beaten up one into the other. I usually keep sick tanks for fish like that.
Awww unfortunately I don't have a QT tank yet I don't have much space at the moment but working in it

Once there fin ripping its best to split them up. Best to get the male (smaller clownfish) in an isolation box before the female kills it

Here they are I can't tell which is bigger lol.

Impossible to tell from the pics which on is male since it’s not a side by side comparison. Separate the one that has ripped fins.

Will this help them get along? Or just save his life and shouldn't introduce back into the tank?

There's no way of knowing. May just need a time out and everything will be fine. Or... Thunder Dome.
