Clown fish problems

Update the infected clown that started this issue didn't make it, but the formaldehyde bath was successful on the other 3 that were visually infected ( I did see stringy white poop from some of the others but didn't want to stress them out).
Now I'm treating the water with metro everything is like they said it haven't effected the inverts, Marcos, ect. If anyone's interested I'll make an update again

You may need to food soak metro in order to eliminate the internal parasites (white stringy poo). More info here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/internal-parasites-intestinal-worms.267419/

I bought the DR G's anti parasitic any thoughts on this?
Should I make my own Bc I thought about it but already had this, my thoughts were treat the water and treat the fish

@Clowning_around That's their CP laced food, which IMO doesn't do any good.

However, Dr G's De-Wormer (contains praziquantel) or Anti Bacterial (contains kanamycin & metronidazole) frozen fish food should help. It would be optimal to feed one in the morning, the other in the evening.

I was looking for ingredients and they didn't put in on the package I'm glad you know thanks

Nevermind I just found it I clearly bought the wrong one

This is such a horrible desease for clowns, I bought two black clowns for my fluval edge and they developed it, i did everything I could to try to save them, dips, medication but it didn't work. I was just glad of the fact that I put the fish in without any other fish being in the tank

I've been lucky I caught it early and reacted right away I did lose the fish that caused the issue but that was a small price to pay for my mistake I don't think I will use formaldehyde again after reading @Humblefish's alternative it's to harsh of a Chem for my broodstock

@Humblefish since I have general cure I was thinking about treating my own food with it Bc it has metro and prazi do you know a correct dose ?
General cure is
250mg metro
75mg prazi
Per packet

I would use the Focus scoop, and do a 1:1 (Focus:General Cure) ratio. Per 1 tablespoon of frozen or pellet food.

So here's my report for anyone that's interested:

One week later and happy fish no deaths no visual signes of infection internal/external my sets of action were this
15 min freshwater dip on only visually infected
Next day 1 hour formaldehyde bath on same
Treat water with metro every 2 days
Make food with general cure feed twice a day

Glad they are looking better for you!

15 minutes seems like an awful long time in freshwater. But very glad to hear they made it out ok. Nothing makes me happier than happy fish. [emoji171]

The 15 min dip was straight out of Joyce D. Willerson book
