When i bought today i was told green tip anemone but maybe?

Yeah, I think most fish will be afraid of that nem... If it's a carpet, it's not one that hosts clowns.

I have a rose bubble tip on the other end of tank, but it's a smaller one

If they have been stung by a nem, they may avoid it.

Takes time sometimes for clowns to choose a host and that’s if they do. If the clowns are captive bred they may not understand it like a wild caught would.

Look up pictures of Heteractis Magnifica and see if it seems like a good match. It looks like one to me. If so, it should be a very good host anemone.

If not Heteractis Magnifica, maybe Heteractis Crispa, which should also be a safe host anemone species.
