I've had this big girl for maybe 6 years now if not longer. When I moved tank I lost her mate, not sure on what.

Replaced mate with a new baby clown and all was good for about a week then the new one started breathing heavy and not eating.

Thought it was stress from the move catching up with the be one so I left it. Now the big mumma is showing the same symptoms.

All other fish in the tank are fine, albeit there is only 2 a striped cardinal and a melanarus wrasse.

0 aggression in the tank
No ammonia, nitrate at 15 phos 0.04, all corals are fine and showing growth

Is it just stress of losing her mate or is it something that only affects clowns?

I've checked out Brook but the pictures show something very different to my clowns to it isn't that.

Any other ideas? Visibly the fish looks fine just breathing heavy through the mouth and not eating

Can you post pics? Any flaking, spots or wounds on the clowns?
Your tank parameters ok?

Without pics it limits how we can help. But the breathing may be from flukes. A freshwater dip is a very easy process to either confirm or eliminate flukes from the breathing issue.

He looks fine aside the hiding and breathing is the thing.
Any Params in particular you want?

I am about to try a freshwater dip to check for flukes. But would flukes only effect the clown?
Hopefully the pic worked

Sorry the pic doesn't work.

Flukes don't always effect every fish in the tank equally.

Is there another way to upload photos aside from the upload button in the reply?

I've tried again

The freshwater dip, I saw nothing come off the fish at all, I watched the video from a post in here and some googling to see, nothing opaque came off the fish. But there was no body markings and I read the dip isn't very effective on gill flukes?

I will give her 1-2 days rest (hopefully she survives) and try it again to see if I see anything.

If not, I have no idea what it is but that would be 2 clowns gone from it with everything else unaffected, should I just not add another clown or what?
