Our mocha misbar clown jumped out of the tank Friday night. I found her (have no idea how long she was out) and put her back in the tank. Within an hour, all seemed well. All day yesterday, everything seemed fine. This morning, she's missing most of her tale and has a white milky blotch on one side. We have a 10g hospital tank set up and meds on hand, but I don't know how to treat her. Any help?

Thank you.

I put her in a 10g hospital tank with matched temp/salinity and dosed Metroplex & Kanaplex. Hope I've done the right thing.

What you are seeing is the damage caused by the aggression of a tank mate. It probably explains why it jumped out of the tank... to get away.

That guy needs some long-term isolation in solitary. Get him healthy.

In the mean time, figure out who the aggressor is and how you will keep them separated.

I'm surprised to see this as Clown Fish usually are the aggressor. I wouldn't put that clown back in the tank once healed.

It is either damage from a tankmate or a Strong possibility that when it jumped, the tail dried or started to and with dead tissue dismantled itself.
If there is no tankmate aggression and the fish is healthy....the tail Will grow back

Antibiotics is the right choice, as is a tight fitting mesh lid.

Best of luck!
