Clown fish trying to host goniopora...

So a number of days ago our clown pair took an interest in our goniopora. They don't want to give up and the goni hates it. Any ideas will they kill it?

It probably will kill it, either by damaging it or keeping it from having its tentacles out and feeding. You could get a little container to put over it, at least temporarily, until they lose interest.
