So my pair of clownfish are trying to host...well, the giant meat coral...is it just me or does anyone else think its a matter of time till the clownfish become supper for the meat coral? They've taken a strange interest in the meat coral and the past few days they seem to be trying to host the meat coral. I came home today to both laying on him...

Btw the meat coral is the one I won a few months ago in the raffle. He's been amazing!

I think its very unlikely the Cynarina would be able to sting the clowns.

Guess it depends on the size of the coral's mouth. Keep in mind, while we commonly say that clownfish "host" something, they do not host anything. The Anemone, Coral, or Powerhead is the host. The clownfish is just the guest. Since Coral is not actually a Host to clownfish, Any Coral that has a large enough mouth and is hungry will eat a clownfish if given the chance.

I know when it was in my tank, that mouth gets plenty big enough to eat a clown fish. I know it already ate one led optic and a scarlet hermit crab, shell and all.
