My clown has developed some brown spots on him. No irregular swimming or breathing just the spots. The other clown is showing no signs of the spots but Im assuming that it will spread to him eventual?
Excuse the stuff in the water as I just scraped the glass.

Assuming there is nothing else going on - it looks like stings - perhaps from the coral behind in the picture. However did they occur overnight, over time, are they changing, etc? Any other information?

Lets hope for that but wouldnt they get them sooner because they have been hosting the hammer for a year now.

It was over night and they have not changed.

Agree with MnFish- euphyllia offers some of the strongest stings which in time…. The pigment goes away

First - please allow me to give you my opinion - which is about 50:50 on reef sites. The coral hosts the clowns - as compared to the reverse. Now that I've gotten that off my chest. - Its unclear - Sometimes when the coral is growing new polyps - it's possible that they are stinging with a different version. That said - watch the general behavior of the fish - as compared to the spots.
