So I got a couple of new baby clown fish yesterday, and they seemed fine. They were swimming together and everything was wonderful!
Today one is hiding in the back and one of his eyeballs look slightly swelled up. Any ideas?

What other fish do you have in the tank? How big are they?

A pic would help if you're able to take one.
If it's an injury, you're going to need meds (sorry I don't know which ones). If it's not then he may have developed "Popeye" and you're going to need epsom salt (don't know the dosage per gallon).

I'm trying to get a picture figured out here. Stay tuned!

I have two clowns my self and a coral beauty angel and from my experience the angel has been a little abrasive with my clowns. She likes to challenge their ownership of their territory some times and they might get a little nippy. As a matter of fact, about two weeks ago, my female clown developed what seemed to be popeye. I just let her be and slowly she healed. My theory is that she got hurt while nipping with the angel and it got infected. I'm not saying you should do nothing, but in my case, since I don't have anything set up, I determined that the stress of moving her to isolation for treatment would make things worst. Thankfully she recovered. I was lucky she didn't stop eating so I put some selco in the food to help out. That's why I asked about your other fish.

If you just introduced the clowns and the angel was established in there already she would've definitely moved on them. What kind of angel btw?

I've had the angel for about a week. And the clowns went in last night.
It's a small angel fish. The front half is yellow in the back half is a black purple color. I don't know what it's called.
It seems very timid I would not have guessed it to be aggressive, but you never know?
I also do not have any type of extra tank or quarantine option. I am just disappointed-he was so cute last night!

You're probably talking about a flameback angel. Regardless, I'm not saying that that is the case for sure (it could be other reasons including pathological due to stress from transfer) but I would keep an eye on the dynamics of the tank for sure.

Also, a picture when you get it would definitely help the more experienced guys to diagnose if it's pathological or not.

The Angel sounds like a Cherub Angel. They can be a little testy at times. Look like this?

I never worry too much about new introductions hiding or acting "strange". Most of the time, the settle in and things are okay.

If it is just one eye, it is likely an injury. I'll let the resident fish doctors give advice on that.

What size tank is this?

I had taken a video which I cannot seem to attach. So here's a good shot I was one that I – just assume the other one is normal

Angel could be a Coral Beauty. Depends on where it's collected. My lighting maroon clown got pop eye in in one eye and it healed in a few days
+1 pictures
+1 tank size

Just a side note but I'd add the most aggressive fish (like angels) last so the peaceful ones can establish territory first. It helps keep the peace

Yeah- makes sense. I had no idea.
Lesson learned!
Hope the little guy is ok!

I don't know what the doctors will say but I think your best bet leaving it be and try feeding see if it accepts anything. Adding something like selco in their food will help their immune system give him a bit more chance.

It looks like pop eye to me. Mine was fine left alone but someone else may have treatment advise

I have never heard of selco, but I will look for it! Thanks!

Ask your LFS they will definitely have that or something similar to that. It's a refrigerated good (at least the one I have) so I think your LFS is the best source.

You can add kanaplex, an antibiotic, to the food and bind it with focus. A good combination would be to feed the vitamin soaked food morning, medicated food evening. Or vise-versa, that will help him heal up assuming it is an injury.
