Clown Gobies in a Larger Tank

Anyone have opinions on Clown Gobies in a large tank? My little niece wants me to get one. I like the looks of all them: the Warpaint, the Green Clown Goby, the YCG , the larger Citron...
But would they ever be seen in a 300 gal tank? Any suggestions on a clown goby that would be out and entertaining?
I have only LPS so let me know if perching would bother my frogspawn, gonipora etc (with no SPS to host/nest in).

I have a yellow clown goby in my 220. Does great within my sps. Such great personality from such a small fish. When I do water changes or stop my pumps, he swims around, its great. I say go for it.

My 4 yr. old niece lIked these gobies at the LFS. Probably she liked the stripes! Anyone have the Green, Warpaint or Citron and see them out much?
Then I could get a YCG for my baby niece. I'm going to add a fish for each of them

Add all three. Your tank is certainly large enough. LOL

I agree, get one, or more! Add them all at the same time if you can though. These guys have awesome personalities. It is common for them to hide for a while when first introduced. Bit when they get comfortable I can bet they will become some of your favorite fish in the tank

I've had all three in my tank at one time or another and the yellows are the only ones that were easily seen standing out among the SPS colonies. The others were harder to find until they moved.

There is a 600g tank were I work that had yellow clown gobies. It had a lot of sps, but they were always visible.

I'm a fan of the clown gobies, the yellow one seems to be more outgoing and bold in my limited experience. Your LPS should not have an issue with the goby, SPS may get a rougher treatment...

I have a green one, hangs out in my zoas, stylo colonies, even weaves in around my toadstool, very cool fish!

Although my 70 isn't nearly as large as yours, I love tiny details, no matter how large the tank.
I've only one fish that's >2"...a yellow tang that, frankly, I wish I would have passed on. The rest are all tiny creatures that you may or may not come across every time you stare into your reef. A couple green clown gobies, green barred gobies, shrimp gobies....get em all! You will have to learn their habits and their favorite spots if you want to see them.

The fish I'm most attached to are my tiny ones - like my YWG that was my first fish. It is fun to watch them and rewarding to see something so tiny learn to recognize/respond to you.

I have 2 green clown gobies in my 180. I love them! It's like an 'I spy' game trying to find them, but they're always around. Mine are also very active at feeding time.

I know this is an older thread, but I am researching options for my tank and I was thinking that I wanted one for the color. Can I ask why would have passed? Just gathering information.
